But for many couples, it’s their first time planning a wedding—and with so many decisions to make, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. If you’re wondering what actually happens after you book your photographer, this guide will walk you through my full client journey—from first inquiry to final gallery delivery—so you feel confident and excited every step of the way.

Step 1: The Initial Inquiry & Discovery Call

Once you reach out through my website or Instagram, I’ll get back to you promptly (usually within 12 hours) to check availability and gather a few more details. If we’re a good fit, we’ll book a quick discovery call—nothing formal, just a relaxed chat to get to know each other and talk through your vision.

What we’ll cover:

• Your venue and wedding date

• What kind of photos you love (natural, candid, editorial, etc.)

• Your schedule and guest count

• Package options and pricing clarity

• Any questions you have—ask away!

Step 2: Booking Your Date

Once you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send over a contract and booking invoice (typically a 30% retainer to secure your date). Once that’s signed and paid, you’re officially booked in my calendar—exciting!

You’ll receive:

• A welcome guide packed with tips

• Timeline planning help if needed

• Access to my exclusive planning resources

Step 3: Engagement Session (Optional, but Highly Recommended)

If your package includes (or you add) a pre-wedding session, we’ll choose a date and location that feels personal to you. This is a great way to:

• Get comfortable in front of the camera

• Build a natural connection before the big day

• Capture beautiful photos in a more relaxed setting

Step 4: Final Details & Timeline Review

Around 4–6 weeks before the wedding, I’ll send you a questionnaire to gather everything I need:

• Final schedule

• Family shot list (don’t worry—I’ll guide you)

• Any special details or traditions you want captured

Then we’ll hop on a quick call or Zoom to go over your timeline and make sure we’re 100% aligned.

Step 5: The Wedding Day

On your big day, I’ll arrive early and ready to go. I’ll blend in like a guest while capturing all the key moments—big and small.

What you can expect from me:

• Calm, friendly energy (I’ve been called the “photo ninja” more than once)

• Direction when you need it, invisibility when you don’t

• Backup gear, emergency kit, and a backup plan for any lighting/weather

Step 6: Sneak Peeks & Full Gallery Delivery

You won’t have to wait long—I’ll send you a few edited highlights within a few days so you can relive the magic right away.

Then:

• Full gallery delivered within 4–6 weeks

• Online gallery with download & sharing options

• Optional wedding album or print selections

Even after your gallery is delivered, I’m here to help with:

• Designing your album

• Recommending printing services

• Capturing future milestones (maternity, family, anniversaries)
